Easter 2003 Restaurants in North Myrtle Beach

Family will be spending Easter weekend in myrtle beach. I was wondering if anyone knows if the Dixie Land Stampede dinner show would be o.k. to book for that day? Or any other suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks ;o)

Jackie,

I can't help you on Dixie Stampede, but here are a few NMB restaurants I would recommend (in no particular order):

Sea Merchant's House
Benny Rappa's
Martini's (expensive)
Marker 350
Duffy Street Seafood Shack
Rockefeller's Raw Bar

Have a great time!

Better than all those above, Chesnut Hill has the best Sunday Brunch on the Grand Strand.

I like Chestnut Hill--I excluded it because it's not in NMB. I haven't had brunch there, and your post makes me want to try it.

But do you mean to say that Chestnut Hill is a better restaurant than Martini's for instance? I think not. (Better than some of the others I listed? Yes.)

Chuck, when she asked about Dixie Stampede, I took that as her boarder for NMB. I do think Chesnut Hill brunch is better than Martinis but you are talking about apples and oranges. Martinis is Italian and Chesnut Hill is seafood/American cuisine.

Dixie (Land?) Stampede is one of Dolly Parton's properties. It is ok but not the kind of place you'd want to go to more than once every five years or so. The last time I was there, they didn't give you any utensils which worked pretty well. I enjoyed the food more than I thought I would and they were very efficient in bringing the food/removing the dishes. The show has lots of horses and one or two magic tricks.

It was over $30 a person when I was there so taking a family can get expensive.

My new favorite place to eat seafood in Myrtle Beach is Captain George's near Broadway at the Beach.
