Duck, NC

We are considering Duck, NC for our late June family vacation. We'd like to rent a house near the beach, with a private pool. Can anyone recommend a rental company? Any other good advice? Thanks.

Are you talking about June of this year? You might have a problem finding something this late. Try Twiddy.com.

We have used both Twiddy and Southern Shores Realty. Both were good. You may have difficulty on such short notice.

We like to stay in Duck over Thanksgiving week. We've stayed several times in the Four Seasons community which is really nice. They have a beautiful community pools (one indoor and one outdoor) /playground and all the houses also have private pools. I'm sure you could still find weeks available in June. I like searching Twiddy and Carolina Designs Realty - but booked twice through Beach Realty NC...you'll probably get some last minute specials at this point.

I used ResortQuest and had good results. Kind of late to be looking for late June, though. Good luck.

google "vacation rentals outer banks" and call every rental agency that pops up. It IS late to be booking for the end of June (unless you're booking for next year), but you might get a cancellation or someone who just decided to rent their house, good luck and get going!

We rent our house in the OBX 11 months ahead of time, as soon as it gets in the system.
