I had no idea there were so many fellow Chelsea-ites visiting here on Fodors. I work here in Chelsea by the Sea with a lovely view of the oil tankers coming up and down the creek. Just wanted to say HI to Gail and adnil1962.

And Chelsea is not so bad and is improving. Just think about how close to Luberto's we are for the absolute best lobster tails in the world. And Billy Tse's will deliver here! And the original Kelly's is a short drive. And who can resist Floramo's and their so descriptive slogan "Where the meat falls off the bone".

But I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone coming from Michigan and staying here. The Wyndham is okay for business travelers staying overnight but a vacationer will want a more convenient location in prettier surroundings.

Ok so shoot me for suggesting the Wyndham Chelsea!! I realized when I got there that the area surrounding the hotel didn't seem the greatest, but considering I was on a mini vacation, and only there from the hotel to the car in the parking lot (which was free) and then to drive into downtown Boston, it didn't bother me or my BF.

Then again, I'm also not from Michigan, I'm born and raised in NYC, so therefore when I was told that Chelsea was a bad area after I returned, I actually laughed! If that was a "bad" area, they haven't been through East New York in Brooklyn!
