Driving times in Alaska

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to drive from DeNali (at the park entrance) to Seward?

Also, how long does it take to drive from Anchorage to Talkeetna? We fly out of King Salmon in the early evening, and arrive in Anchorage probably around 8:30 or 9:00 p.m. We were hoping to make it to Talkeetna before 11:00--but, I suppose that's unrealistic. Is there anywhere to stop for a good dinner along the way?

Any input would be very much appreciated!

We'll be in Alaska during the last two weeks in July. Can't wait!

Allow 9 hours with brief stops for Seward to Denali Park. Anchorage to Talkeetna- 2 hours. You can try Wasilla for dinner, would be your last available, but I suggest you might just as well eat in Anchorage before you go.

Any recommendations on where to get a good quick bite to eat on the way out of Anchorage from the airport (going to Talkeetna)?

Oh that's easy. Lucky Wishbone, 5th and Juneau. Some of Alaska's (America's?) best road food (burgers, chicken.) Also a serious landmark full of landmark locals. Some of whom haven't left the 'Bone since the advent of jet engines.

... especially if you're flying out of Merrill ...

Seriously, thi, I loved the 'Bone for the chicken, fries and shakes. Burgers are fine but nowhere near the chicken IMHO.

Plus if you're in a hurry, the takeout was always easy there. Call as you leave the airport, tell them you'll be there in 15-20 and you're cruising.

Yeah I was going to say the advent of powered flight, but that would be dating myself. Agree - good burgers, GREAT cluck.

I think we'll give the 'Bone' a try! Sounds like just the place we need to go.
Thanks!
