Driving from Vancouver, BC to Anaheim

Anyone who has driven from Vancouver to go to disneyland I would appreciate any info. How long does the drive take? Should we stay overnight somewhere along the way, if yes, where do you suggest? Do you think 2 days is long enough for 2 girls ages 4 and 6? Thanking you in advance.

Its approx. l400 miles from Vancouver to Anaheim which means you will need a motel for about two nights on the road. Try www.mapquest.com and see if that will help you plot out your trip.

As for Disneyland it is now $39 per day per adult. Too expensive for this native Californian who has been there a multitude of times. I can remember as a child it was free to get in and we bought coupon books for the rides. Wish it was still like that. I just want to walk around and buy souvenirs and food. If you join AAA (Auto Club) you can save on motel and price of admission plus they will map your route out for you and give you free road assistance should you break down. Membership will pay for itself. Two days- hmmm. .. are you going to see anything else while here? There is Knotts' Berry Farm that would be fun and cheaper too. I am sure Disneyland has a website- why don't you see what the package deals are. Then decide from there.

I'm a Washington native, and I've driven
from Everett, WA to Ashland, OR a couple of times. Everett is about 3-4 hours south of Vancouver, and the drive to Ashland takes another 9 hours. Ashland is just north of the California border, so I would recommend at least 2 days, maybe 3. There's a town in Oregon called Sunny Valley, about 14 miles north of Grants Pass. There's a sign for a KOA Kampground, and a small restaurant overlooking the freeway, called Aunt Mary's. Fantastic food there. There's
another restaurant you'll pass on the way to the one overlooking the freeway, small white building with painted over windows. AVOID THIS PLACE. It's rumored to be a front for a drug lab.
