Driving from Buffalo NY to Onatario Canada - Which Border Crossing to use?

We will be driving and stopping over in Buffalo NY on Saturday Aug 30th. We plan on crossing over to Niagra Ontario, early on Sunday Aug 31st. Does anyone know of a website where you can check updated crossing times as well as any information on which bridges to use or ones to avoid.

To avoid any crowds from Labor Day Weekend we hope to stop on the American side as we are staying for one night on the Canadian side. We would like to get a different vantage point and take some cool pictures. What area would give us the best picture taking of the Canadian Horseshoe falls. Are there any attractions that we should not miss on the American side. If so how and where should we park!!
Thanks so much.

Try this website:
http://www.ccra-adrc.gc.ca/customs/g...es/menu-e.html
It's the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency

www.customs.gov is the site for US Customs - now known as Bureau of Customs and Border Protection.

Tune your car radio to 91.9 FM as you approach Buffalo. It is a NF tourist station which broadcasts border crossing times. Also go on the Canada board for a lot more info on NF.

Focus on the Canadian side.. View is better, lovely gardens, really more to do. American side kind of tacky.

I"d take the bridge at the falls. Very scenic.

If you want to see the view, take the rainbow bridge. Expect delays though.
If you want a fast route right to the QEW, take the Quwwnston bridge right to HW 405.

As I have heard the Rainbow Bridge is the most crowded, would trying to cross from NY on a Sunday morning around avoid any crowds??

Here's another recommendation for the Queenston/Lewiston Bridge.

ezmar,
Sunday early AM is a good choice
(early as in 7 or 8 AM), after that you have the crouds coming in to check out the Canadian side of the falls, eh, and crowds coming into the US which can make things rather hectic. The view, however, is a must see!
