Any suggestions for a drink after the theater with a great view of the city? Would like it to be walking distance of times square. Thanks as always

The bar at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square has a great views. The restaurant makes a complete circle over the course of an hour. Be prepared as there is generally a line after the shows let out...same for most places around Times Square.

The Rainbow Grill at Rockefeller Center is another option. Not as close to Times Square though.

If you're doing this during the summer, there are a number of open rooftop bars now. The Metro Hotel which isn't far from TS has one.The Ava Lounge at the Dream Hotel is another that's close to TS and has both indoor and outdoor space. It can get a bit loud though but trendier and younger than the other options.

Are any of these rooftop bars casual? I do not want to show up there over or under dressed. Thanks!

Things have gotten very casual everywhere. I'd say any of these, maybe with the exception of the Rainbow Grill, don't require dress up.

Doesn't the Marriott Marquis have a cover charge just to get in? If so, how much?
