Dressing for Ballet in US
So, how does one dress for Ballet in Boston?

If on stage, tutu and tights...if in audience, casually refined....

I've seen everything from long dresses and tuxedos to jeans and t-shirts. But usually most men wear suits or sport coats and women run the gamut from suits to dresses to nice pants.

Coco gave a nice suggestion. As a former ballerina, we would see everything from jeans to cocktail/evening wear. When I attend now, I go with a nice cocktail pantsuit and clutch.
