If you don't mind getting either a king or 2 doubles (no guarantees) try finding a room through quickbook.com
They were WAY less expensive than the others. We stayed at the very nice, great location Omni Chicago for $124/night.

Check out priceline and hotwire. If you decide on priceline, go to biddingfortravel.com and see what others have been able to get in your price range/date range. I booked through hotwire and get the Westin on Michigan Avenue for around $80 a night. I have used priceline/hotwire on other occasions and have yet to be disappointed.

LLindaC, I've seen you mentioned the no guarantee on bed types at Quikbook twice now. Are you saying that you booked one type of bed at the site but were given another (and obviously less suitable) when you arrived at the hotel? I've used Quikbook a bunch and have always received the bed configuration I selected. Just curious.
