We stayed there a couple times when it first opened and they had great deals that included dinner or breakfast. Since then it has been taken over by Dolce, which is in the convention center business and the specials aren't as special as they used to be.
It has a golf course, but we don't golf. The walking path around the golf course is little used and not well cared for.
The last meals we had in the dining room there weren't anything special, but the prices were the same as good places in Portland. Less expensive meals are available in the bar, but we didn't eat there. A sandwich on the lawn when the sun is setting might be the thing to do.
It is a pleasant walk to downtown Stevenson. There is a conspicuous bar/restaurant on the main drag where we have eaten twice--it was a frosty experience both times. Across the street is a friendly looking Mexican restaurant where we will have dinner if we stay at Skamania Lodge in the future.
If you get a good price on a room, give it a try and let us know about your experience.

We stayed there last a few years ago. Agree with happytrails. It's a nice place. We ate in the bar, and the food was off the main menu and less expensive, so was worth it. There's a nice indoor pool and outdoor hot tub with natural rocks and a water fall. It's a great place to watch the Perseid meteor shower in August. If Carston Hot Springs is still open, it makes for an interesting trip not too far away. You will find yourself in a very funky spa that is a blast from the past. You might ask at the Lodge about it. You can sit in hot tubs with claw feet, get wrapped in towels like a mummy, and have your body beat into dough by a masseur.
