Doggy welcome motels in Dalton

We will be traveling from Chicago to Florida and hope to make Dalton, Ga. Any suggestions for an overnite stay with our beloved pets and dinner?

I haven't stayed in any of these, but this is the website I use when traveling with my Loved One:

I second La Quinta in Dalton. Stop by Smokn Pig for good BBQ when you pass Valdosta, GA.

Thanks so much for the help. If the weather is decent, we will travel from Chicago to Dalton and stay at the LaQ. And stop for BBQ in valdosta. Any ideas on how to check the weather in advance of travel?

Thanks for the weather.com tip. I am concerned about the stretch between Nashville and Dalton. I have booked LaQuinta and gave my old terrier (15 years old) a bath and getting ready for our trip. She looks great and we are still pulling our stuff together!

That stretch will be fine. We're having warm weather. No problems.

Safe travels to you and your terrier!
