dog friendly hotels websites--any others than bringfido.com?

We are taking our first road trip with our dog. I know about bringfido.com as a way to find places that accept dogs. Are there any others that people know of? Thanks.

I love LaQuintas. All but two of their hotels (NYC)accept dogs without any fees. Other moderately prices hotels vary on their pet fees and with the Holiday Inn group you have to check with each location and fees/deposits vary widely.

A lot of the higher end hotels accept dogs without fees - ex. Four Seasons - but LQ is IMO the best at a moderate price point.

www.tripswithpets.com - They also have a feature where you can search pet friendly hotels by travel route.

I appreciate this so much. We'll be looking for moderate hotels en route to our destination where we have a dog-friendly house rented. I had no idea there were so many websites with these types of op0tions.

One more quick question. Are the rates on these websites pretty competitive (just for the standard room rate without the extra pet fee)?

You can look on the Hampton Inns website and search for pet=-friendly locations. Some charge a fee; others do not.
