yes, youinhaledlol, you are certainly right. But don't forget, there are the credit card bills that arrive soon after you return home that have to be paid. Oh sigh.
But I would rather travel than do anything. Just wish I could travel every month!

Some husbands just need a good swat in the head with a newspaper, period (you know who you are) . It may have nothing to do with the upcoming trip or jet lag from the return trip.

I will admit to a bull's eye shot with a hardcover book into my hubby's forehead from the stairway landing. He gave me a fake scratch off lottery ticket and I thought I won $10,000!!! I did the happy dance, made a few phone calls, only to have hubby say "you better read the small print on the back." Believe me, a newspaper would not have done the trick!

In summary, it may have not had anything to do with travel!

Buffalo Girl, that is SO funny and what he got was SO well deserved!!

I think not traveling makes me cranky.
I came to this conclusion when the Yankee and I started talking about taking some trips and I have been quite cheerful since then~

Oh no, WTG! Stop the madness!
I think fake lottery tickets are absolutely cruel.

What made it even worse was the fact that my husband kept saying "What are you so mad about, it was just a little joke." At the time we were very low on $$$, so $10,000 seemed like $100,000! Even my son (who was just a little boy at the time) said "Dad, you're a jerk."

Despite all that, he gave another "winning" lottery ticket to his sister along with her Christmas present. This thread will get deleted if I tell you what she called him!

WTGGIRL: He bought them at a convenience store in Pennsylvania. But please don't give one to anyone you want to remain friends with!

Giving that lottery ticket reminds me of when my boss gave a fake Rolex watch he brought back from Hong Kong to someone that was quitting. It made me uneasy to watch this guy open the box and see the expression on his face, only later to discover it was a fake amid everyone's laughter. Is it a guy thing, or what????

By the way, that newspaper was the Maui News which, fortunately for the guy, is a very skinny newspaper. I think all her hammers and baseball bats had to be packed up in the suitcases for security reasons.

A most always travel with a rolled up newspaper so I can wack people over the head. Newspapers are cheap and nobody can see it coming. Traveling businessmen are the most fun to wack.

Whack 'em with a newspaper, rub their nose in it and put them outside??? ((&))

As long as the newspaper doesn't have a lead pipe wrapped up inside of it...
