I just can't believe that no one wants to see 50 year old Alby, in his speedos with a 19 or 20 year old girl. Me either. But I would like to see Travelers come back. The Travel Channel stinks, all they show is Vegas, Vegas and more Vegas. Maybe they think they will finally see the ghost of Elvis in one of the casinos.

Traveler, "Travelers" is stil on, it's just not called that anymore. I believe these shows are on (last time I looked) at something like 9a.m. or thereabouts (East Coast time). Look for "eclectic" titles like "Pirates Week in Grand Cayman" or "Treasure Hunting in Aruba," etc. At least I THINK this is the same show you're looking for, i.e., this same group of young people out exploring, etc., with one notable, rather "portly" black guy (don't take that the wrong way as he's actually a very likeable host!).

Last night they showed some program reporting on wrecks between trains and autos. I had to double check that it was TC as I was surfing by. And what's with the show about the aircraft carriers?
Hard not to compare TC to the Food Network, which seemingly has now become 24x7x365 of Emeril or Iron Chef.

That Hunter Reno gal reminds me of a girl I used to date years ago. So cool, so veddy cultured, so very East Coast, so filled with noblesse oblige.
What a snob! We are SO lucky that she lets us in on her own private little world of endless pleasures.

Last night I was watching the travel channel and they actually showed a promo for an upcoming Ozzy Osbourne special about before they hit it big on MTV! What's with that??!! Plus the promo came complete with bleeps even though you could clearly read their lips and this was at 6:30 at night.

Several people I love, LOVE Vegas. As for me, I'd almost rather endure the rapture than have to go there again. It is the most unappealing place and the last place on earth I'd want to go. Can you imagine "choosing" that with all that there is to offer out there for destinations? I'll never live long enough to get to visit allthe worthwile places there are to go. As for the Travel Channel, I used to be a fan, but like many of you I'm sick of it being mostly all Vegas infomercials. If they ever do have anything worthile on it again, I'll never know because by now I'll probably never tune in to check. Infomercials/Commercials are fine for TC if they are for something worthwile and show it off accurately.

Samantha Brown used to annoy both my husband and I, but the more I watched her, the more she grew on me. Now I think she's funny! Hunter Reno is it? She annoys me the most. She goes out of her way to avoid any beauty or femininity she has been blessed with. Is she a d***? I've read a lot of Rick Steves European guides, but his choices of places to stay scare me. Are any of the really quaint, charming, and nice or are they extremely low budget raggedy places like a step above a campground yet clean? On the other hand I've got the impression that Karen Brown's inn recommendations are mostly over the top or excessive except maybe her low-end recommendations. Confused.
