Do you have a favorite Aston Hotel
in Waikiki???
The Entertainment Book offers the Pacific Monarch, W Banyan, W Beach, W Beach Tower, W Sunset...
oh and the non-Aston (I presume)
Royal Garden and Hawaii Prince.
Which would you choose at what price range?? Are any not worth it at any price?

So far, on Kauai, have stayed at Hanalei Bay Resort ("regular hotel room") and Islander on The Beach in Kapaa. HBR has wonderful grounds and setting overlooking the bay but the room was tired, shabby & poor maid service so for sheer value the Islander wins hands down as the room was good and maid service prompt and it was half the price. I understand HBR suites/condo may well be better - but also much more expensive, so overall the Islander stills wins for us...

The plot thickens...
I may have a chance to stay at the Ohana Waikiki Tower at local rates (@$70/night) Have any of you ever stayed there?
Oh and it seems as though there are waaay more Waikiki hotels on the Entertainment book web site. What's the best deal someone has gotten using the book?

I live at the Aston Waikiki Banyon (part of it is apartments) and it is undergoing construction right now. I feel badly for the people who are vacationing here - no lobby and it is so loud on the pool deck from the jackhammering. The condos are lovely though. They are also doing construction on the Aston Waikiki Beach.

I stayed at the Ohana Waikiki Tower last year. Good hotel for the price. Good location. Block and a half from the beach. Concierge can book luaus, snorkeling, etc. Very helpful staff. Ask for rooms on the upper floors as they have partial ocean views and nice views of the sunset. If you're on a budget and don't have to be directly on the beach, this is a perfect choice.
