Do rented cars have cd player

Hi. Planning to rent a car i.e. Dodge stratus or Chevrolet Montecarlo for two weeks, I wonder if they have cd player as a standard feature. Just to save the trip to my cd collection in case they don't . . . Thanks Jaime Spain

The last car I rented was a Buick Rendezvous from Avis and that had a CD, but I'm not sure about the ones you mention. Why don't you ask the rental company?

Have fun!

Have you thought of asking the car rental company you are using?

I've had it go both ways. Call the rental location and ask specifics. They may be able to hold a car with one

FWIW, It's been at least 5 years since I rented a car WITHOUT a CD player. Usually rent from Hertz, Avis, Dollar, Alamo.

Go to the Chrysler and GM web sites and check the specifications for the cars you are interested in to determine if a CD player is standard equipment.

As Loki mentioned, almost all rental cars have CD's these days.

Thank you guys ! I post a message 'cause it is very dificult to get answered an e-mail from a rental company, and definitely, i'm not gonna call from Europe. Anyway, reading your messages have given my cd collection the chance to know America ! Thanks again

I called the rental company last year with the same question; we were planning to buy an audio book to listen to during long drives, and I wanted to know whether to get the CD or tape version. They assured me the car came with a CD player. When we picked the car up, it had a tape player - no CD. Probably the best thing is to specifically request a CD player, since you plan to bring along your collection. Have a great trip!
