We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort several years ago
and found it to be very nice. Its one of the least expensive
Disney Properties, but the rooms where nice. And had
lots for the kids to do. We figured, why spend a fortune
for a room that you will only sleep in. And you still
get all the perks. Early entry, flex passes Etc.
About the bus, if at all possible, I would highly
recommend renting a car. Its not that much money, and
gives you so much more flexability.
Been there 3 times, so if you have other questions, feel
free to drop me a line. Have fun!!

I stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort last year with my family. They have a lagoon with boats as well as pools near each area. Transportation to all the various parks was convenient and you didn't have to wait long. They have a food court(buy a mug at the beginning of your stay for free refills thruout). We also rented a car, easy to get to Disney from the airport and then you can go to Universal, Sea World or Kennedy Space Center if you want.

I stayed at the Carribean Beach Resort in October '96 and liked it very much. You have to book early
because it fills up fast! The rooms are very clean,
nice, and has a mini-bar with drinks, sodas, and
snacks, but they put it on your bill when you leave.
I would recommend getting a rental car so you can
venture out of Orlando. Kissimmee has a lot of great
restaurants.
