We will be traveling to Disney in a couple of weeks and I am trying to come up with a (flexible) plan for our trip. We will be there from Wednesday mid-day until Sunday mid-day. We're staying at the Wyndham Palace & Resort. It will be my husband, my sister, my parents, and my 3 year old daughter. My itinerary so far:
Wednesday: Magic Kingdom and Parade
Thursday: Magic Kingdom
Friday: Animal Kingdom in the AM, Epcot in the PM
Saturday: MGM and fireworks at Magic Kingdom that evening
Sunday: Character Breakfast at our hotel

I want to make sure we see a lot, but am trying to be reasonable so that we don't do too much. Can anyone comment on what I have planned? Also, my husband, sister and I would like one fun night out, as my parents are going to babysit for at least one of the nights. Should we do Epcot or the "grownup" rides at Magic Kingdom? Any suggestions, comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

For the adult night out go to Epcot. It's really something at night, with the parade through the countries, the music and fireworks.

Thursday is early entry day (8am) at MK for on-site guests, and Friday is EE for AK, so I would switch those days on your schedule. The parks will already have lines when you arrive (at 9am). It is important to get to MK before it opens, 8:45am. Head straight for Dumbo first, then Pooh, then Peter Pan. You can finish Fantasyland then head to Toontown.

You will probably get to ride some of the big rides while you are all together during the day with FP. So, you can go to Epcot for your evening out.

Just be sure the adults take turns watching your daughter on the day you're at MGM so all the grownups get a chance to experience the Hollywood Tower of Terror. It's the best!

Emily, did Disney reinstate early entry? When we were there in May, early entry had been discontinued with no thought to bringing it back. Instead, each day characters would show up at a different resort to see guests off in the morning. Allyson, keep in mind the Magic Kingdom parade is in the afternoon. If your daughter takes a nap, you may have to miss it. My daughter is 3, and we ended up skipping many parades to get her back to the room for a nap (far more important than parades). The parade at Epcot, Tapestry of Dreams, is also held early evening as well as later in the evening. I highly recommend it for your daughter. My daughter still talks about it. An alternative to Epcot or Magic Kingdom at night would be Pleasure Island. The comedy club, Comedy Warehouse, is great.

We did the Disney thing with my parents, a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old in May. While the grands watched the kids one night, we caught a few rides at MK and then hopped on over to Pleasure over and saw a show at the Comedy Club. Great adult night out! You'll have a blast.

A fun adult tyhing to do is a place called Jellyrolls (or sim) which is at the Disney Boardwalk. Its a nightclub with dueling piano players. Try mousesavers.com for lots of good Disney info.

Sounds like a pretty exhausting schedule for a group with a 3 y.o. Others might disagree but I would suggest spending more time at the MK, MGM and AK with the child. My kids weren't bored with Epcot but it is more geared toward eating and shopping I thought. We were there 3 days and we covered MK and AK well but never even made it over to MGM. We were disappointed about that but we'll go back.
