Disney water park ?s
We are looking at taking 6 1/2 and 9 yr old boys to one of the Disney water parks--Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. I have some questions about the water parks:
1. Can you and should you wear water shoes (that stay on feet) on the rides?
2. Are lockers easy to get/use?
3. How long are lines usually in early July?
4. Should we buy tickets in advance?
5. Do you need cash for anything other than food/snack/drinks?
6. Any other tips or tricks for newbies??
Thank you!!!!!

1. _yes. Not really for the rides, but running around in concrete all day is tough on the feet!
2. Lockers are easy and about $2 I think
3. GEt there 20 minutes before park opens to get a beach chair. It wil get busier as they day goes by. Yes crowds, but fun and you can always take a break in the lazy river! At TL, do the snorkeling thing first before the lines start.
4. No cash needed.
Tips:
Bring towel from your hotel if you are staying on Disney Property only. Otherwise, towel rental is $2
or bring your own.
Food is good at TL. Your kids will be hard to spot in the Wave pool (if you go to TL) so maybe put on bright rash guards to spot them easily.
Super fun!

We never wear shoes at waterparks. Park is slowest right at the beginning and then usually about the last 2 hours things are slower. If it rains, go ahead and go as people stay away when it rains.

There will be this BIG rush at the beginning. Why? Because a whole bunch of people decided to "get there 20 minutes before the park opens." Once THAT has ended it gets a little easier BUT there can be a LOT of those people who got there early and if you want to see a mad dash as if there were only one chair left...

We don't wear water shoes in water parks. Indeed, most rides require you to be barefoot so you have to kick them off anyway. You can use a credit card for just about everything except maybe the lockers, where you might need coins.
