Disney in Mid January

Hi All,

We are thinking of taking our two children [ages 31/2 years and 10 months] to Florida in a few weeks. What is the Magic Kingdom like that time of the year? Is it a popular time and can we expect long lines? How about the weather?
Thanks for the advice!

Not too crowded and nice weather. Today the weather here in Orlando is in the mid-70's, but can change to cold and rainy at the drop of a dime. So always be prepared!

All the kids are back in school this week so things shouldn't be too crowded. We took my 18month old to Mickeys Christmas party last month and she adored it. Not sure how a 10month old will handle it but the older one should have lots of fun.

Bring your sunscreen!

Hi darlingbella!

Thanks for the reply. We'll come ready for just about anything - weather wise.
I'm glad the parks are not too crowded at that time. It makes for a much more enjoyable experience.
Appreciate you help!

We went the last week in January a few years back (our daughter was 7 at the time). We encountered very few lines, only on the most popular rides. I recall the weather being, as darlingbella says, in the mid-70s with only one overcast day. The waterparks weren't open that time of the year which made no difference to us.

We went in November with our 3 1/2 year old and our 20 month old. Where possible, I'd suggest you take advantage of FastPass. Having the ability to avoid waiting on line made our 3 days there significantly more emjoyable. We also gave our kids plenty of time to run-around in the playground area of Mickey's Toon Town.

We found that other than the roller coasters, we were able to take both our kids on almost every ride.

Thanks everybody - we appreciate your input. We were hoping this would be a good time to visit, especially with a 10 month old. Don't need to be standing in line for hours on end with small children.
Ryan, we will take advantage of FastPass whenever possible.
Happy New Year!

If you are going to be there over January 17th, expect crowds. It is the MLK Jr. Federal Holiday.
