No, the question was "Disney in CA or FL"? If you set this as a "California" topic, this board doesn't show that anywhere. It's just a Search option.
But you answered the question indirectly: You're coming to CA. There are two separate (but neighboring) Disney parks: Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure. Given how young your child is, you'll probably want to go to Disneyland. November weather is usually mild-- highs in the mid-60s to low 70s, lows in the high 50s and low 60s. Having said that, it's October 16 and the weather this weekend is supposed to be in the 70s and 80s, so you may luck out and get some heat.
You can go to http://disneyland.disney.go.com/dlr/...&highlight=dlp and get a daily calendar of events, including hours of operation and closed rides. The two rides that will definitely be closed are Space Mountain (refurbishment till 2005) and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (closed after accident). I think a 4-year-old would be too small for either ride.

At that time, it usually shuts down at 6 or 7 p.m. I just heard on the radio this morning that the winter weather "prediction" (they never get it right, but maybe this time!) is a drought winter. Early November we usually don't get much or any rain. 4 year olds never feel the cold anyway as much as adults. But at that time at Disneyland, take sweatshirts, unless you want to buy an overpriced one there, and stow it in one of the lockers, either off to the left on Main Street just as you enter, or a little further down on Main -- turn right at the general store and you'll see a big sign for lockers. You have to buy a token for the lockers. Late afternoon it generally cools down so you'll need the sweats.
At the entrance, where you pay, it lists the rides that are closed on any given day. As rjw said, Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain (for obvious reasons) will be closed. I would head straight for the Dumbo ride if you get there early, since it's the best of the original rides and is extremely popular at all ages.

The Grand Californian Hotel is right on the Disney Grounds and very convenient to go back and forth to the park. You can easily come in for a while and rest and go back out. This is a great hotel!! It is closest to Disney California Adventure (right out the back door) but convenient to both parks. Have fun. Weather should be fine then.

bobl, if you want to get all the tips on disney vacations visit the disboards, laughing place and mouseplanet websites. All three are disney dedicated websites and I've gotten so much info out of them. I didn't know Disney needed so much planning until I read those websites!
