Walt Disney World
We are going to Disney in may and I was wondering if buying the refillable mugs at your resort for your stay is really worth it. Also do they have mugs that you can buy in the park that are refillable.
Thanks

I would take all WDW questions to the disney boards where the people are true fanatics who can answer every single tiny question you have about the parks. I think it is www.disboards.com or www.dizboards.com. I'm sure someone else on here will know the link.

I think it's a very good deal, as long as you think you'll actually refill them. Are you bringing enough drinks with you? This is why, when we had a conference at the Coronado Springs, I decided not to purchase the mugs.
I wasn't going to be at the hotel or Disney all that much, and I had brought plenty of my own drinks.

I guess you'll have to use your own judgment about the resort's refillable mug. Do you plan to take all of your meals at the resort? Do you plan to grab a lot of snacks there? Do you usually buy sodas with your meal? Will you actually be at the resort's restaurant or food court often? If you're planning a lot of time in the parks and not in the resort, then you're paying a lot for a mug that you may have the opportunity to refill only once or twice a day.
Amwosu is right about www.disboards.com -- now there's a group of fanatics who know what they're talking about. I had no idea how much some people enjoy going to WDW year after year after year. It blows my mind! If I had the kind of money it takes to do a week at Disney every year, I wouln't be going to Disney every year.
(But I do want to point out that DH and I are going for a couple days next month! Lest someone think I'm an anti-Disney snob).

Last summer, we were able to buy refillable mugs at both water parks. I don't believe the regular theme parks have them with free refills. I think there is a discount on those expensive cups with the bulky plastic tops - seems like there was an elephant on the one from Animal Kingdom.
We bought one mug at the water park and the whole family used it.

A lot of the resorts have small fridges now. If yours does, it would probably be more convenient to keep your own drinks in the fridge. Also, lots of the resorts are VERY spread out. How far would you be willing to walk to refill your mug? Finally, how many meals do you plan to eat at the resort? If you'll be in the parks most of the time, it may not be worth it.
