Dinner or Drinks, Hawaii??

With so much planned, and not really knowing how it's going to work out, I have been hesitant to try to arrange a GTG with fodorites on Maui/Oahu. Esp. Oahu 2o to 'the bosses' will be there and not sure what they'll want to do and how that will affect our plans. I know I'll have to be flexible!

However,if anyone doesn't mind short notice, and wants to share their phone # or other contact info, we may be able to work out something! I would love to put a face to some of these names!

Belle.

The traditional Hawaiian ethic is to just
"hang loose", which is really a great slang term for being extremely flexible.

The concept has been narrowed as Honolulu became the eleventh largest municipality in the U.S. of A., but most locals still subscribe to the moral ideal.

So, in the old days the natives would say "no pilikia" (no worry, no problem),
"e komo mai" (welcome).

In the modern day, if it fits, fine. My
cellular number is (808) 227-6008.

What are your dates for Maui, Belle? I have met with several Fodorites and had wonderful times. Some others I met here I now see on a regular basis, as they now live here!

My schedule is fairly flexible and if I can shake this damn cold that I've been fighting all week, I'd love to meet you for cocktails, pupus, or a sunset when you are on my side of the island. I live spittin' distance from the Mana Kai. Email me offlist at gone_2maui @yahoo.com.

Maybe. I live in Mililani which is quite a distance from Waikiki. But I do like getting out every now and then.

I'm the only one left in the world with no cell phone and still have dial up ISP.

Sorry, Icuy, I thought I posted the dates this AM, but don't see them now.

7/06-7-14 Maui and Oahu on 7/14-7/20 (9:30PM flight).

Tentative itinerary is posted. I'm planning on changing the Plantation House reservations from Fri. to Sun. since it conflicts with the Black Rock Diver Ceremony. They wouldn't reserve window seating except at 6PM.

MelissaH! Sorry I won't have the opportunity, as I always enjoy your playful & informative posts!

Well, at least I know what you look like (alot of fun, that's what!), since iceeu2 posted her pics with you and 'Pake' in them!

If you ever make it to LA (Lower Alabama), look us up! I'll continue to keep a watchful eye (and your Bro. has my email address).

I'm not sure I can find a place around here that serves chicken paws, but I could prepare some deer steaks!

Enjoy and safe trip!

mmmm! Deer steaks! Deer jerky! if you've seen my European posts, I love exotic stuff!

Just saw lcuy today--she had not gone online yet so I let her know the dates of your vacation here on our lovely island. Maybe the Oahu contingency can take you out for loco moco?
