Dinner near Waldorf Astoria
I am traveling to NY in May and my mom and I are staying at the Waldorf. Any recommendations on nice places to eat for dinner? Price range $50-60/pp. We are open to just about anything. Thanks!

Django-very nice medit. food but more continental.Nice atmosphere.this is a very nice restaurant and a real sleeper.Avra-Greek/good food.Bull& Bear is the steak house there and is pretty good with a nice atmosphere.The waldorf is midtown and near so many rest.You can also catch a cab anywhere so if you do not have to limit yoursel to one area.Check out other posts and zagats.com

Bobby Vans for steak is very good and close. Agree with Django. Hatsuhana some of the best sushi in NYC. La Mangeoire on 2nd & 53-54 has nice French (and senior appeal). Shun Lee Palace some of the best Chinese in the city. Chin Chin also very good Chinese.
The Lever House and the Four Seasons are topnotch and close, but both will be over your budget.
