There's a great little diner type place south of town where the walk along the cliffs begins. Don't know the name but it has indoor and outdoor seating. Seafood joint with great lobster rolls, etc. Somebody else might know the name here.

Not a romantic place, but certainly casual...the bestest, freshest pizza my husband and I ever had was at Le Pizzeria on Ogunquit's main road.

So good was it that we are planning on driving down there for the last weekend of summer to get another fix.

ARROWS on Agamenticus Road is best restaurant in town (none of which are byob, however). It's in the 'great'
category. Joe Allen, Hurricane on Perkins Cove, Provence and the Maine
Diner north of town are also good choices.

I think that Pappy might be thinking of Barnicle Billy's...
Arrows is not only the best restaurant in Ogunquit, but is considered one of the best restaurants in the northeast. Reservations way ahead of time are a must, and it is fine dining at its best.

We loved Barnicle Billy's! We walked along the Marginal Way which is a mile and half of beautiful cliffs above the ocean and then happened upon Perkins Cove where the restaurant is located. Had the best lobster we've ever had on the outside deck overlooking the water and boats.
