Restaurant recommendations near Camdon, Maine area
Hello,
We will be spending 3 days near the Camdon, Maine area in mid-June. We are looking for seafood restaurant recommendations in various price ranges. Some inexpensive choices for lunch and dinner. Then on the night of our Anniversary, we'd like to go to some place a little special. Nothing extravegant -- maybe in the $20-25 per entree range.
The suggestions don't need to be in Camden proper -- just in that "mid-coast" area.
Thanks!
Cindy

We very much enjoyed the Sail Loft in Rockport. It was 20-30 min away and would qualify for a mid-price category. Very fresh seafood, traditionally prepared, great service - but dress was informal. The views are incredible, so keep that in mind when you make your reservation. You may want to go a little earlier than usual, and try to reserve by the window. Have fun!

Last fall my wife and I had dinner at Primo in Rockland. It is an outstanding restaurant with an excellent wine list. It was one of the best meals we enjoyed during the 10 days we were in Maine. It's probably less than one halfhour south of Camden.

A couple of years ago we enjoyed the Cork in Camden. Found it in Wine Spectatator and tried it. Wonderful for us.
Here's their current menu.

Another vote for Primo, which is in Rockland. We try and eat there every summer when we visit our kids at camp. It is wonderful. You can check out the menu at www.primorestaurant.com

Thanks for all the suggestions -- any other ideas for CHEAP seafood places that we can go to for lunch? Even "shack-type" places are fine -- we like the "off the beaten path", non-touristy type of places.
Thanks!
