Hi. I hav'nt been to the polynesian Luau, but I have been to Ohana at the Polynesian and it was great. Lots of food and fun (all you can eat. Lots of jumbo shrimp. Ask for a table by the window to view the Magic Kingdom. I've heard the Poly Luau is OKay. We have seen the Hoop de doo musical review. It was fun, but the shows are rather pricey.

The California Grille at the top of the Contemporary Resort is one of the best restaurants in Florida and almost anywhere else. It is the showpiece for Disney although it is not the most expensive or pretentious. Fabulous view of the resort at night and fire works...400 or so wines by the glass and wonderful American/Californian/ Floridian fusion type cuisine. Off the property you could try Chatham Bros., Pebbles at the Crossroad shopping area. TuTuTango is fun if you brave the traffic and madness of International Drive.

Try Bongo's Cuban Café at Downtowm Disney. The food was great and so was the service. The waitress provided help on the menu selection and was fun too. Towards the middle of the evening we were entertained by a Dezi Arnaz lookalike and his band. They had the whole restaurant singing along. Go in the evening where even the waiting in line is fun in the middle of the Downtown Disney atmosphere.

I did a lot of research before we left for Disney, and made reservation for dinner at the Prime Time Cafe in MGM and Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. We were not disappointed in either. The Prime Time Cafe is a lot of fun, the waiters give you heck for putting your elbows on the table etc..... almost a show. Chef Mickeys was awesome, there were about 6 characters there for an all you can eat buffet and they personally came around to every table at least 3-4 times when we were there. The price of the buffet was quite reasonable for the "show" that is put on. Even Goofy helps the kids make cupcakes - my 11 year old even enjoyed this.

Hi- We saw the Luau show about 3 years ago. We spent around $100.00 for 2 adults and 1 child. The show was terrible...mostly a fashion show showing hawaiian costumes from decade to decade. The only good part was the finale with the flame jungling and such. The food was all you can eat and was tastless. For us it was definitely not worth it! You will hear mixed opionions about this show (people hate to say anything negative about Disney). I can recommend a restaurant however, if you like seafood, the " Flying Fish Cafe" was excellent and is located on the "Boardwalk"

Have not done the dinner shows, because I understand them to be overpriced and overrated. Artist's Point at the Wilderness Lodge has great food and a terrific atmosphere. I have not been to the California Grill but plan to go this March when we visit WDW because I have heard such wonderful reviews from Orlando locals. They say it is the best restaurant in town - not just in Disney. The Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney is a neat place, but the wait is forever. Also, try Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club.
