tpat, some of us are offering amy b some suggestions for a nice Sunday breakfast. She doesn't have to take our suggestions. LET HER DECIDE what she wants to do.
I don't know why some of you are so offended when others offer advice. As a world traveler, I love when people make suggestions to me about places I have never been to before.

I think you really do understand, but are trying to justify yourself, mm. Let's be honest here. No one in their right mind would call breakfast at Balthazar the same as "a good DINER breakfast near 42nd Street". In fact the very title of the post was "Diner near Midtown". So in addition to the response having nothing to do with the type of place the poster was asking about it isn't even in the right area.
If you said you wanted an upscale Brunch place near Soho, would you REALLY welcome a suggestion for the Brooklyn Diner at 57th and Broadway simply because you welcome new ideas? That's a direct comparison.
