Did I miss something in Key West?

I never compared Key West to Hawaii. It was our first visit to Hawaii and we loved it (Maui and Kauai). Key West is just more convenient for us (we live in the Midwest) for a quick getaway. If we lived on the West Coast, would probably visit Hawaii more frequently but that 9 hour flight is brutal ;-)

So my husband and I aren't the only ones who wondered if we missed something in Key West. We were there in May mainly because he had always wanted to do the drive down over all the bridges - we had a nice time; but it's not someplace we would go back to.

Mojitogirl, Your post accurately sums up my feelings about Key West. It's a place to wander and relax. I don't feel like I have to find something to do every minute.
I'm looking forward to checking out the mojitos at the places you mentioned. In fact, I think the mint is stil alive in the garden, perhaps a mojito later today would be good 'practice'....
Glad you enjoyed Hawaii. I've enjoyed my trips there, but it doesn't draw me back the way other places have.
