DIA to Glenwood ground transportation
Can anyone tell me about the cheapest and/or most convenient way to get from DIA to say Glenwood Springs or Rifle? The Mountain Express is like $91 one way. Is there a better way?

There are alternatives -- bus, train but the shuttle is the quickest and most convenient I am sure. And there is a big difference between Rifle and Glenwood Springs. I doubt if M Exp goes to Rifle. From DIA to Rifle is in the range of 200 miles. How about a few more details concerning what you are trying to accomplish? Flying into Eagle/Vail might solve some problems. That airport is within 30 miles or so of Glenwood Springs.

Thanks for responding. I'm trying to get to Rifle but Glenwood is close enough. Vail and Grand Junction and Aspen are much more expensive than flying into Denver. But I must be able to get to Glenwood economically.

The Amtrak train is a better price than the shuttle bus, from what I found out a couple of years ago. The train was about $35 one-way, Denver to Glenwood Springs. Also much more comfortable, I would think, on the train vs. the bus.
You would need to get from DIA to the downtown Amtrak station. Check SkyRide, RTD's bus service, for the best price to get downtown. I think it's about $9 one-way.

Amtrak would be a beautiful trip, but as mentioned the schedule is limited. Scheduled to leave Denver once a day at 8:05 am and arrive GS at 1:30 pm. Chances are it will be late (coming from Chicago), but still makes it a little difficult.
