DIA/Colo. S./Breck./Estes/Boulder
Previous post got the trip planned out with the route. Now I need to know if 4 days is enough or should it be 5 days? Land in Denver on 06/15 at 7:45 am. om day one. Head straight to Colorado Springs and Garden of the Gods by at least 10 am. Going to Buena Vista/Leadville/Breckenridgr/Grand Lake Estes Park and Boulder. Take a look at the map...4-5 days enough. Into photography but no long hikes...and NO WAY at 68 will it be uphill hiking of any length.
Not interested in "exploring" any of the towns...only there for lodging and what the area has to offer. What do you think. The # of dates was not discussed on previous post. Thanks in advance.

Yes I did get great replies. Now I want a time frame. How is 5 days for this trip. Nobody is reading the other post....so asking for # of days is a waste. Thats why I started this one for the # of days. Southwest will be putting June flights on sale the first week of January. There is a second part on this trip: Black Hills/Badlands/Mt. Rushmore. So the dates are important for the flight.

When you travel alone as I do....everything must be perfect. Nobody to tell me "you have to be in the left lane"..."the next turn is ours"...."if you go that way we end up in the bad part of LA." All hotels are paid for before I leave. Second part of trip I have a "base camp" to spend all nights. The first part is a 385 mile "circle" and every night of where to stay has to be planned. People talk about going through the mountains....drink plenty of water....all great tips. Trips like this is a once in a lifetime...I'll be on the road early and not to the next stay until late. I take notes from every reply then look the spot up on Youtube to see if it's for me.
This years trip (05/16) was 1313 miles in and return to LV. From part 1 to part 2 of the 2017 trip is a 6 1/2 trip....one way. LOTS of driving....the more planning the easier the trip.
