DFW Carry-On Meal

I have a one-hour layover at DFW before boarding an AA nonstop to Maui. Any suggestions on where to buy a meal at DFW to carry on for the long flight?

Have you thought of bringing a meal from home? You could pack your favorite sandwiches, some fruit, cookie, etc. anything you want.
I've seen several people on flights do this, even on our flight to Maui. (We were there a couple of weeks ago).

AA has gates in terminals A and C. The arrival and departure gates can be a long way apart. Fortunately there is a tram to get people around the airport. There are plenty of places to pick up food in the terminals.

Check out this link for a listing of what is availible:

My personal favorite take-out places in DFW are the Frullati stores. There are several. You can get a nice sandwich and fruit there. AA is also now selling meals on its longer flights, and I bet yours will be one of them.

I see a lot of people carry on personal pan pizzas from Pizza Hut.

I wouldn't count on the "meals" sold on the plane. I flew AA a couple weeks ago and those meals didn't look very filling. Even at 4'9" tall, I don't think that would hold me over from DFW to Maui.
