Detroit to Florida
We are family of 8, everyone is almost adult planning a 10 - 12 day long long road trip from Detroit, MI to Florida but still undecided on the route we should take, towns to visit and make night stay. Can anyone suggest...

Highway I75 from Detroit is a good route which I have taken numerous times. There is an excellent book by Canadian author Dave Hunter called "Along Interstate 75". It tells stories, places to visit, speed limits and other valuable information to make your trip fun.

You could stop in Asheville, NC for the night. Very pretty there at Christmas.
