Denver area hotel

We are looking for a hotel in the Dever area to stay in for one night after a transatlantic flight. We will driving off west into The Rockies the following morning so we want somewhere that is quiet, comfortable and can do us a good dinner. It should also be a relatively straightforward drive from the airport for sleep deprived bodies but well located for an easy drive away west the next morning. Price not an issue.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Why not stay at one of the new airport hotels (~3 miles away)? Then you won't have to drive into Denver (a bit far removed from the airport),after the ordeal of shuttling to the rental cars then looking for your hotel, and you'll be right on Pena Blvd, ready to hit I-70. You could even hotel shuttle to/from airport if you wanted to save a few $ on car rental days.

If it was me, I would probably take Sylvia3's advice, but if you are looking for something a little more upscale try the Hotel Monaco in downtown Denver. Their restaurant, Panzano, is terrific and the hotel also has spa services available.

Check out the Denver Marriott West on the west side of the Denver area just off I-70. This would also put you past the Denver area traffic.

I would stay at an airport hotel also, but IF I were to drive somewhere I heartily ditto Hotel Monaco.
