Denver Airport 3 Hour Layover What to do with kids 4,6 and 11
We are flying (4 adults, 3 kids ages 4 6 and 11) from MEM to LAX with a 3 hour layover aroun lunch time on June 21. IS ther anything really good to see or do or eat in the Denver Airport?

I am usually in favor of rushing into town. However, Denver Airport is too far from Denver. Denver airport security is sometimes slow.
Look at an airport diagram when you arrive. Spend some time on the overpass between concourse A and the main terminal. It is the only overpass in the world where planes go under you. Your children may enjoy this, but make sure they know it's the only one in the world.
Also let them ride the train once. Concourse C is usually empty. That's the one that most of the airlines, except United and Frontier uses.

The airport is WAY out of town. I did find this neat map the last time I was there. It's on the same level as ticketing and where the arriving passengers come up from the concourse train. There are two maps of the U.S. and it lists all the kitchy tourist spots in the U.S. Like the largest ball of twine, that sort of thing. That could kill some time. It's fun to read all the strange places. Good luck!

Denver airport actually has some decent food. In the center of Concourse B there is a food court and a couple of restaurants. There is also an area just on the terminal side of security that has some stuff. The tram that runs between the concourses is kind of fun - I imagine the kids would like to ride it around a bit. The airport is also rather big, so you could probably manage to tire the kids out really well just by wandering around the concourses and they may sleep the entire way to LA.
