DC Hill Lunch Spots

Native Washingtonian here who seldom is on the Hill. Going to be there this Saturday with two cousins, and looking for a relaxing, quiet, relatively upscale place (but not stuffy) for lunch. Food type doesn't matter though I love seafood. Price doesn't matter. Suggestions?

Closer to the White House than Congress, the POV on the roof of the W hotel. Major views and pretty good food.

We had drinks at the POV last Friday, and it IS a beautiful spot. Didn't eat, and the cocktails were just okay, but the place and the views were great.

Sonoma

Johnny's Half Shell for seafood.

Bistro Bis is another upscale option.

Art and Soul. Southern. Shrimp, oysters and calamari are amazing. Politico power lunch spot. Not stuffy.

Many possibilities fit your requirements (relaxing, quiet, relatively upscale, not stuffy). Two in particular come to mind:

http://montmartredc.com/ VERY good food and wines, VERY relaxing and pleasant atmosphere.

http://www.belgacafe.com/ Great food. Has more beer and cocktail options than Montmartre. More "bustling" and a somewhat noisier than Montmaatre but still good for conversation.

Do look through the menus (including the extensive beer menu at Belga), these are my two favorite Hill spots (especially Montmartre).

Thanks again for these recommendations. I discussed the options with my cousins and we ended up at a place called Zest on 8th SE across from the Marine Barracks. Relatively new, I guess, and the food was really excellent.
