Day trip to Oahu?

I want to spend most our our time in Maui, but wondering if it would be better to do a day trip over to Oahu to see Pearl Harbor, etc., or just fly into Honolulu and stay 1-2 days there before going over to Maui. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

I agree with Starrsville. Make sure you explore the north side of Oahu, it's beautiful with some really nice beaches.

My first trip was to Maui. I now doubt I'll ever go back. I enjoy Oahu and Big Island just too much. I have spent some time on Kauia.

Definitely, spend some time on Oahu before you head over to Maui. You won't regret it.
