day trip from Boston

Anyone know of a good, cheap, day trip from Boston. Just got a new car and would like to take a day trip tomorrow. Preferably 1.5 hours or less. I know about the Cape, but looking for something different. Anyone every go to Gloucester or Ipswich? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

How about the Lexington/Concord area? History, scenery, Walden Pond.

Go to Cape Ann. Take Route 127 from Manchester-By-The-Sea, through Gloucester and up to Rockport and back. Then hop on 133 (I think) to Essex and stop at Farnhams to get some clams. Then you can pop over to Crane's Beach in Ipswich before heading back home.
