Good morning Shanghainese! I was so happy to meet you at the GTG and look forward to seeing you in the future. BTW, EasyTraveler has my email address if you would like to get it from her.

And seeing your posts reminds me liketravel. Sort of across the street on E Main from El Patron is a Chinese restaurant. I haven't eaten there due to allergies but my daughter (who has not eaten there either) commented last week they no doubt have very good food as she is always amazed at the amount of people she sees leaving the restaurant carrying takeout cartons. So perhaps this restaurant is another good option for you especially when you don't want to cook.

Sorry to re-hijack (that can't really be a word) but had to jump in as another Fodorite that remembers the Milk Farm. I think it's amazing that the sign is still there and wish somehow a new Milk Farm would come into existence. So many places along the roadways now are chain restaurants that are devoid of any regional flavor.
Ah, I think I'm showing my age!

Welcome to Northern California!

You're in good hands with the "inland crowd"! Don't hesitate to ask for any info you need. Fodorites are incredibly helpful people.

Do have a great Holiday Season in your new home and we'll see you at the next GTG!

Liketravel, seeing your post is soooo strange..but in a good way. While out doing errands this afternoon I passed several apartment and condo complexes and that made me think of you and I wondered how you were doing, if you were settled in etc.

And here you are back on Fodor's!

If I can be on any help please let me know. And if you ever want to meet somewhere for coffee, a glass of wine or whatever just post and we can work it out. In the meantime, welcome to Vacaville, I am glad you like being here liketravel.

Hello Shanghainese, I will. Or if at some point you would like to come up here even without a GTG I would love to see you again. Easy has my email address so you can get it from her.

Have a wonderful time in NYC including at the GTG Shanghainese. I look forward to seeing you when it works out. Wishing you a beautiful 2008!
