How on Earth did I miss this thread for my trip last month? Just now seeing it - sure wish I'd seen it in advance!

Brahmama, Sorry I never got back to your Chicago link (very busy at work). Did it work out okay?

Here is the updated link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cs2/sets/

Hullo ComfyShoes,
I've been away from the boards due to House Guests but they are gone now and I'm trying to catch up.

We leave a week from today on Amtrak (Chicago,Washington DC & then New Orleans) so am frantically cutting and pasting!

The first night we're going to the Phillips and I was wondering if you did have a meal there & your opinion?

I'll probably have more questions so hope you check this now and then!

No, never been to Phillips although I might try it in October when I am there for work. Consider posting it on your Chicago thread. Also, if you post your Chicago thread link here, I will promise to check it occasionally (very very busy at work lately but easy enough to check Fodors occasionally). Posting it on your Chicago thread has a higher liklihood of native Chicagoans responding, I think.

I am sure you will love your trip

So is there a Phillips in Chicago as well?

I was looking at your final revised schedule and I notice you had it down for Day 2 (in Washington DC!)(Phillips Collection)

I noticed that you didn't mention it in your synopsis at the end, and was just wondering if you got there and if so, if you ate!

Sometimes I think we travel on our stomachs - I certainly plan to walk enough in all 3 cities to keep from gaining anymore weight.... And of course we're taking along:

So sorry! I thought you were referring to something in Chicago.

Actually this DC trip was a part work/vacation for me and I never went to Phillips which is why it didn't appear in my synopsis. My wife/kids did. I asked my wife and she said she liked it a lot. She said it has a fine collection. I will take her word for it. She didn't eat there so can't vouch for that.
