Custer State Park: Campgrounds Questions
I'm planning a trip to Custer SP next July and was hoping to find some local information about the Stockade Lake North and Grace Coolidge campgrounds. I've stayed at Grace Coolidge before and it is a wonderful small, clean campground. The one and only negative is that there is no cell reception/mobile data reception (I know, I know, we're camping...but I have teenagers!).
I have a reservation at Stockade Lake North, site 37. Some things I'd like to know:
-Are the sites asphalt or gravel?
-Verizon reception?
-Shade is important - is site 37 shady?
My preference is to stay at Grace Coolidge. The site I have reserved there is well shaded, close to the bath house, asphalt, quiet, and is very clean. But if Stockade North is just as good with the above criteria in mind then I would stay there for the mobile data coverage.
Any advice is much appreciated!
