Curvy/steep roads around Mt. Rushmore, Keystone, etc?

As many of you have seen from my previous posts, hubby doesn't do well on roads that are steep and/or have lots of switchbacks (fear of heights plus motion sickness). That's true regardless of which of us is driving. I know nothing about this part of South Dakota and saw a couple of old posts that mention the "scary" roads. What's your opinion? Thank you. (We'd likely go in mid Sept.)

You can judge for yourself

Google for 'drive to Mt Rushmore' on youtube and you'll see lots of examples -- then you can decide if they are too winding for your DH.

Here is just one . . .

Makes you wonder how fast the driver was traveling or if the video has been purposely sped up.

I have only done it on a motorcycle and it didn't seem bad at all. There was a van stuck trying to go through Needles hwy tunnel one trip. That was funny. My friend just did the climb to Crazy Horse. They got to rent scooters and explore. Very hot though.

I also deal with acrophobia and do not remember anything like that in SD, Mt. Rushmore, etc. it is such a beautiful area.
