CRUISE SHIP VIEW OF CINQUE TERRA COASTLINE ITALY

Hello
We are booked on a Carnival Liberty Cruise on 31st May 2006 and part of the trip is a stop at Cannes then on to Livorno nearest port for Pisa/Florence in Tuscany then on to Rome.

I wanted to visit the Cinque Terra but although we are doing a land tour prior to the cruise, I don't think we can fit this in.

Can anyone who has done a Mediterranean cruise around the French/Italian Riviera area advise if the cruise liners travel close enough to the shore to be able to view this region from the ship?

Thanks for your help

You may get more help if you re-post on the Europe or cruise, rather than US, board.

Also, use of all caps is regarded as SHOUTING.

Hi laurie, actually you might get some information if you post your question on the Cruise forum here on Fodor's. There will possibly be a Fodorite who has done this cruise or a similar one and consequently could answer your question. Best wishes and have an enjoyable cruise, it sounds delightful.

Thanks to everyone for their response. I am completely new to this form of chat. I had no idea use of capital letters was offensive, so I apologise for that. Also I have no idea of how to get into the "cruise" section of Fodor's. I think perhaps I should just give up asking any questions before I upset anyone else.

over and out Laurie45.

laurie45 - On the left side there is a box that says "change forum". Select the forum you want and post your question. I suggest you post in both Europe and Cruise.
