Just reading everyone's notes. For Information Only: For those driving into Canada, Canada now requires from your insurance company proof of insurance while driving around in Canada. It is required our ins. agent told us. Doesn't cost anything. It is as big as your license and it. offers proof who you are with pertinent insurance information if you should get into an accident. When we called for it, we only had to wait an hour so for it to be ready.

cher--Good advice. Our insurance company emailed it to us before our trip in March. It is good to cover all bases and not get stuck!

also, just as an FYI...I think starting in December of this year, they will be requiring passports for ALL cross-border trips. Definitely good information to know. And as a PS was just in Vancouver for the first time, and my is it BEAUTIFUL!

As I said above they're especially careful with teenage girls. There have been so many incidences of girls meeting men (boys they thought) on the internet and then running away with them - or to meet them - that Immigratin officials are unikely to take a teen's word for anything without proof.
