looking to spend a romantic get away in october for 2-3 nights somewhere in NE (preferably within 6-8 hours of nyc). need advice on what town and what B&B. looking for a unique village/cozy type town by some rocky shores and the cutest B&B.

Check the Yankee magazine website; it has a B&B/inn finder. We loved The Porches Inn in North Adams, Mass.; close to Mass MoCa, the Clark Museum, and some great restaurants.

Chatham, Mass. has some wonderful places.

Chatham, MASS, Cape Cod is lovely. We always atay at the Cranberry Inn on Main St. If you chose the Cape, 6A (Brewster, Yarmouthport, Dennis, Barnstable) has the best choice for B&B's. There is also Ashley Manor (Yarmouthport). We have also stayed at the Kennbunkport Inn, Maine, York Harbor Inn, Maine. Enjoy!
