SH - I believe what you are referring to is the continued resurgence of the 'ME' generation. Heaven forbid anyone ever consider what someone else may want or like....Or that anyone can even take a picture w/out having some 'extreme sports enthusiast' being in it. In a way, I feel sorry for these people, on a certain level - that their life is so 'boring' & empty that they feel the need to participate in some of these activities. Or is it just a 'coolness' thing ? As most all of our parents used to say - "...so if Jimmy jumped off the buidling, would you do it too ?" Apparently so...

I don't really think monopolizing a sight enters into this. Delicate Arch almost always has a crowd. When I went to Corona Arch we were the only ones there. I think I saw two people leaving as we approached.

I never got there as a pretty tame side slope kind of freaked me out just before the ladder.

This was after we had climbed the part with the chains. Go know what's going to stop you.
