Sorry so late on the Trip Report, we had a blast in Copper! There were NO lines until the weekend, and even then it wasn't as bad as Breck was. The snow was perfect, and the skiing there was better than at Breck in our opinion. There are a few restaurants in their village that we tried out, but a couple of nights we went outside Copper to nearby villages for dinner. I think that if you're going for the skiing, Copper is great! If you're going for the nightlife and to "be seen".. it is not the place for you. Our ski-in/ski-out cabin was wonderful, and it was right on the tubing run. So we just walked there the first day and did tubing to get used to the snow and have a little fun before we head for the slopes. The slopes were a blast too! So many for beginners/amateurs. Anyway, thanks to everyone for the great advice.. we will definately visit Copper again.

Fun to hear from you. I always enjoy hearing how things work out for OPs when they make their decisions.
When you can afford it do as furledleader suggested and try Aspen. Stay at Snowmass for awesome skiing and lots of ski in ski out condos then enjoy Aspen in the evenings.

Having lived at Copper several years ago I was glad to hear you had a great time. Having skied all the Summit and Eagle county terrain,Copper,IMO, still offers the best terrain, easiest access and fewer crowds. And for night life all one really needs is one good bar/pub.You don't have to worry about all those 'wanna be's' either.

UPDATE:
We are headed to Copper again! We'll be there February 4 - 8 staying in a fabulous ski-in/ski-out house off of Lumberjack Lift. This time we even got a great deal on lift tickets, because as usual we are a big group of 16. It's considered "Corporate Deals" but that just means we're buying all your lift tickets up front for a large group. We purchased ours for $48/day, and it's good at Winter Park too!
Can't wait for another awesome time!
