Cooperstown in the fall

Planning a trip to Cooperstown in the fall. Where should I fly into? What else is there to see besides baseball hall of fame?

Not really near anything - unless you count Farmer's Museum (which is much better than one would imagine). Not even near good-size airport. Depending on where you are flying from, you might have to drive from Buffalo.

You can fly into Albany...MUCH closer than Buffalo. You could also visit Howe Caverns.

You are correct - Albany is closer. Don't know what I was not thinking, except not had AM coffee yet.

You will not be that far from the Hudson Valley....and there's no better time to be in that area than in October at the height of the foliage season.

Flying into Syracuse would be another option
