Cool Retro/Mod stores in Chicago?

A few vintage clothing stores of which I'm aware:
Hollywood Mirror/Ragstock, 812 W Belmont (near Clark)
Beatniks, 3400 N Halsted (at Roscoe)
Strange Cargo, 3448 N Clark
All of these are relatively near each other and accessible via the red line or the brown line of the el(probably less walking from the brown line).
You can also check the resale listings at www.chicagofun.org or check chicago.citysearch.com.
For thrift stores, look in the phone book for Value Discount Outlet and Salvation Army locations.
I can't think of any particularly mod stores, but perhaps someone else can help you with that!

Thanks for correcting me! I rarely ride the red line (or the brown line, for that matter), and I was thinking of walking south from the Addison stop. I couldn't remember exactly how the route lies. But you're right, both lines would be equally convenient.
