Convenient to get to Disneyland from Doubletree Anaheim? Thanks for input!

We are deciding whether to book the Doubletree Anaheim as our hotel to access Disneyland after reading good reviews on TA.

Has anybody stayed there and is it convenient to get to Disneyland? I know that there is a ART trolley, but more specifically, is there a hotel shuttle where we can take to avoid the queue? We asked Hilton, but the reply was off-topic - it might just be simplier to get an answer here.

We are only intending to rent a car after the Disney leg of our trip.

Hello malabar290

Are you talking about the Doubletree Hotel on The City Drive?

If so, the main page of their website (under "Features & Highlights") states: "Complimentary Shuttle Service to Disneyland and Anaheim Convention Center."

Have a magical trip!

Oops sorry, no. I'm talking about the Doubletree Guest Suites Anaheim Resort.

There is no hotel shuttle but the ART stop is right outside the door. There was no queue when we stayed there. You can also walk- you just need to know where to go for the short cut so you don't back track. If you are able to get a good rate and plan on being at The Parks more than your hotel; I don't think you'll be able to find anything to complain about. But, if you're looking for a hotel that you want to go back and forth to all day- I wouldn't stay there.

Thanks! We don't plan to shuttle to and fro too often from the parks. I guess we'll probably take the ART trolley the first time round and hopefully learn the walking route.
